There are certain gruesome, unimaginable and unprecedented events, that invokes the humanity in humans at times. And the news of suicide is one of them.
Off- lately the shift of focus on mental health, and the awareness about it, has brought a change of wave in every aspect of human life. Where at times, its even exploited to its maximum ability and yet, the fact remains that : IT IS IMPORTANT.
The more important question that still remains unexplored and unanswered and if i dare say, still remains unaware to most of us is that, why do we react strongly to just physical death? Do we ever look around and find, so many of us committing suicide mentally or emotionally on minuscule scale in our day-to-day lives?
The moment(s) we deny ourselves of our deepest desires and dreams, the moment(s) that just become monotonous and routine,as we lose our hope in finding something new and exciting every single day.
How many times have we killed ourselves? Maybe for someone (emotionally) or killed ourselves (mentally)?
We are our own suicide bombers. We just dont kill ourselves but with us, we kill/injure the others around us.
Even though we have a thousand captions here and a million stories on social media about how beautiful and courageous it is to NOT conform to the pre-set conventional standards, more often than not we unconsciously find ourselves following and maybe even promoting them through our actions and our judgements.
A remark here! a joke there!...
C'mon learn to take a joke sportingly!
It was just a bit of fun! Chill!
We are suicide bombers.Everyone of us.
We just dont kill ourselves, we do it to others as well.
So Stop. Evaluate. and rectify.
Identify the places where you have committed suicide within yourself. Some would definitely be necessary but the ones that were a victim of outdated thoughts, evaluate them.
At the end of the day, sit and think. Whether you were a suicide bomber or a CPR?
