Midnight Musings

That time of the day (well actually night), when all you want to do is, rewind all the moments of your life and get hopelessly sad to the point of despair.

The hour where you get face to face with all your mistakes, your flaws, your hurt and wounds and when you choose to suffer in your pain.

That minute where the sheer thought of being your own-self disgusts you to the point of self-depreciation.

The question is: WHY DO WE DO THIS TO OURSELVES?

What sort of twisted sense of joy or fulfillment do we achieve by doing so?

Why do we torture ourselves so much in the middle of the night?

All our regressive emotions just never seem to disappear. They are like pimples on our faces: we never know when will we get them, we cannot pop them open ( but we all are guilty of doing so, for both - pimples and midnight musings), they leave scars, and yet... YET they still magically reappear at the most convenient (read: ridiculously inconvenient) time of our lives.

As children we knew about the monsters under our beds...

..... As adults they reside in our heads...

Sometimes we have a more intimate and deeper relationship with our monsters than ourselves.

Sometimes we believe every damn thing we think, especially about ourselves...

So then how do we stop from the thought pimple to form on the skin of our mind?

Simple!

The same way we prevent it on our skin.

Exfoliate!

Keep your brain clean. Get rid of thoughts and actions (and people and environment) that 'clog your pores'  Exfoliate the shit out of it (well not literally though 😬)

Heal. Heal. Heal.

Every day.

Every moment.

Even when you don't want, in fact especially when you don't want to.

It's not gonna be easy and it's gonna get hard.

It's hard to manage having a thought pimple and it's equally hard to keep working in order to prevent it.

Choose your hard wisely! (And consistently).
